Monthelie Douhairet Porcheret Monthelie Blanc 'Cuvée Miss Armande' 2014, 750ml
This estate, historically run by the Douhairet family and named for the Burgundian village of Monthelie where they are located, invited renowned winemaker Andre Porcheret to take over the winemaking in 1989. The resulting wines have a long name, yes, but also a long standing commitment to producing some of the most elegant wines of the region. This Chardonnay, named for Madame Armande Douhairet, is lush and silky on the palate - with beautiful round citrus, a touch of meringue and aromas of hazelnuts and lemon peel. This is the perfect pick-me-up to a long week (or day) and a wonderful example of well-priced White Burgundy.
