A unique wine from Cilento, along the coast of Campania south of Napoli. These Fiano grapes are the first planted by the estate in 1998, and they grow in a sheltered area from the hot southern Italian sun. However, the grapes spend 8 days on the skins during fermentation, extracting a deep golden color and pushing the style into the "skin-contact white", also called "orange wines". The wine ages another 2 years in a mix of barrels and rests a year in steel before bottling. The resulting wine is deep and serious, with waxy golden fruit and lacking the forward fruitiness of its youth, but a rigid structure and freshness. A huge jazz fanatic, the wine is named in honor of Ella Fitzgerald. *Certified Organic
